Talented and persistent photographer Brian Plant sure nailed these two 'pan' photographic views near York, Pennsylvania of Steam Into History's Northern Central RR 17, the York, and Leviathan 63 replica 4-4-0 steam locomotives.

The two full-sized, Civil War-era engines were recently authentically recreated by Kloke Locomotive Works of Elgin, IL. The first image obviously shows one of these 'tea kettles' backing up without a train, and the other captures a classic scene of Nineteenth Century railroading as many picture it in their minds.

So nice to see these usually black and white museum snapshot memories brought so colorfully to life in 2013!
